Sustainability experts at Vita projekt d.o.o. have performed the comprehensive Environmental Due Diligence and the present report represents the summary and highlights of the most important findings.
The main aim of the ESG due diligence process was to highlight the company’s priorities and align its business strategy with sustainability opportunities, risks, and stakeholders’ interests. This process allowed Neos to identify which ESG KPIs contribute most to value creation and which risks need to be mitigated from a sustainability perspective. The final product of this process is a comprehensive ESG Due Diligence report, accompanied by an action plan to guide Neos’s sustainability strategy.
This comprehensive report was developed in line with various standards, frameworks, and guidelines. The initial ESG screening followed the Invest Europe ESG Due Diligence Guidelines and Questionnaire. For a deeper analysis, the ESG KPIs recommended by the ESG Data Convergence Initiative, led by the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), were used. The materiality assessment was conducted with reference to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and sector-specific KPIs suggested by the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). The carbon footprint was calculated using the GHG Protocol Standards, which include the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and the Global GHG Accounting and Reporting Standard for the Financial Industry (a joint initiative by the Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF) and GHG Protocol). Neos’s sustainability objectives were guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As a result, sustainability is now seamlessly integrated into Neos’s business strategy and long-term goals. Neos’s advancements in sustainability have positioned the company on a leadership path within its industry niche, especially when compared to local counterparts in the same geography.
