IBM Cloud Pak for Data includes all components related to data science, management, virtualization – connectors with different databases and applications. The future user can choose between IBM solutions and open source alternatives. The entire pipeline is available in container form from development to commissioning.

IBM Cloud Pak for Data now includes OpenShift, micro services and Kubernetes capabilities for configuring applications running in containers. Therefore, it is now possible to implement and manage them from any certified cloud, whether public or private, regardless of the infrastructure on which they are located. CP4D includes a broad portfolio of services in which the company selects the most relevant to build a platform tailored to its application needs.

The portfolio integrates a layer of virtualization, Datawarehouse (Db2), management, and of course all components of Data Science dedicated to data processing, visualization or improvement (such as IBM Streams, Db2 Event Store, Information Analyzer, etc.). IBM is also adding a number of accelerators that are presented as analytical models ready for use for applications in the finance, health or energy sectors.

Further on, collection, storage, organization, enrichment, AI: the platform seems to cover most, if not all, of data and artificial intelligence needs.
