It’s been 20 years since three friends and work colleagues set up to start their own business that would fulfil their vision of becoming a great IT company. On Tuesday December 20, 2022, they celebrated the 20th anniversary of Neos with a big party in Zagreb’s upscale club&restaurant Johann Franck. 

How it all started 

20 years ago, Davorin Capan, Dražen Marković and Mario Mrljić, then colleagues, today partners and friends, decided to start their own company. It started as all great stories start – with a humble beginning. The three of them moved into a small room in the offices of their friends and partners, the law firm Žurić & Partners. 

From data to cloud 

They started with specialized data warehouse solutions and found first clients among Croatia’s largest banks and insurance companies. Having signed these important clients at the early stage of the company’s development directed them towards developing enterprise specific solutions for companies working in the Finance, Insurance, Telecom and Utilities industries, as well as companies working in the public sector. 

As the company grew, it started expanding its area of expertise to software engineering and cloud & infrastructure. Today, these areas form the three pillars of Neos’ business expertise: Data Analytics, Software Engineering and Cloud&Systems. 

Flagship Oracle partner 

Neos has been an Oracle partner since the very beginning, always ranked among top partners in the region. In 2015 they were awarded the Business awarded the Excellence Award for Business Analytics – Global and EMEA. The competitive offering Neos presents on the market includes a comprehensive array of services and solutions that can satisfy most, if not all business requirements that enable companies to thrive in the modern corporate landscape. 

Celebrating two decades together 

To celebrate this significant milestone in the life of Neos, the company made this short video that highlights their 20-year journey. 

The main event, however, was the anniversary party where Davorin, Mario and Dražen celebrated with Neos’ employees, partners, clients and friends who supported their growth and development. Here are the highlights from that night. 

Next 20 years 

The present and future of Neos hold many exciting things, one of them being growth and expansion. Neos has integrated with two companies during 2022, SV Group and Inovativni Trendovi. As of 2023, all three companies will continue operating as a single unit under the Neos brand within the IT portfolio of Prosperus Growth Investment Fund. 

This growth will fuel further expansion to international markets and productisation of acquired knowledge and products created throughout the company’s lifetime.
