Neos joined this year’s .debug conference as an official sponsor, with a clear focus on IBM technologies and the practical potential of generative AI. The centrepiece of our presence was a talk by Daniel Bara, who introduced a solution built entirely on IBM’s Watsonx platform: the Neos Compliance Assistant.
Presented under the title From Zero to AI Hero: How We Simplified Risk Assessment with Watsonx, the session explored the journey from idea to implementation. It addressed a real-world challenge – automating risk assessment and compliance tasks – using foundation models and AI agents from IBM Watsonx.
With around 30 attendees on site and more tuning in online, the session sparked strong interest. Daniel demonstrated how the NEOS Compliance Assistant uses Watsonx to search and analyse documentation, assess compliance and assist users directly. Feedback was clear: while many sessions at .debug touched on AI, ours stood out for delivering a working solution, not just a concept.
One key highlight was our use of Watsonx Orchestrate in a locally developed, production-ready implementation. This triggered particular interest from attendees, who saw it as a practical application of a complex technology stack.
Daniel reflected on the experience:
“What made this talk different is that we didn’t present a concept or vision. We showed something real – a solution that’s already solving a real problem. That made the conversation with the audience more grounded, and the feedback more valuable.”
The session reinforced that Neos Compliance Assistant is both technically advanced and market-ready. It opened new conversations around future development and potential collaborations. Our presence at .debug 2025 highlighted more than just a solution – it reflected our broader commitment to building purposeful AI that delivers real outcomes.
