The new version of Oracle BI platform: Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11g was introduced on 27 October on the premises of CineStar in Branimir Centar. The new version has been completely reworked and it brings a lot of novelties on both technological and business level, in particular related to OLAP and Scorecarding.
Following the introduction by Marin Tadić and lecture by John Ainsworth, Liljana Perica gave a demo presentation of details on the OBI tool suite. It showed new functionalities, advantages and improvements in comparison to the 10g version, all with a view to sending message to potential users that with this new version of BI solution Oracle made improvements in all aspects of OBI EE platform, focusing on the experience of the final, powerful new characteristics, functionalities and application integration. On the level of technology, the new version brings many improvements as well and we are especially happy to see better integration with OLAP sources, e.g. with Essbase cubes, which used to create problems in some situations.
After lunch the conference participants could enjoy Iron Man 2, whose main sponsor was Oracle. However, it was a rare treat for those who were excused from work that day, you are guessing… we were not one of them.
