The main areas and topics at the HrOUG 2012 were:

  • Oracle Fusion Applications – standards for innovations, new generations of applications, integration and coexistence of solutions, extreme productivity and expansion
  • Oracle Fusion Middleware – Business Intelligence, Process Management, Data Integration, Data Warehouse
  • Oracle Exadata/Exalogic – Exalytic implementation in the financial and insurance companies, new developments in BI
  • Business Information Systems – Studies of completed projects (case studies & best practices)
  • DBA – New solutions for the database optimization
  • Java – Development and solutions
  • Oracle Open World & JavaOne – News from the world’s largest conferences

Within the traditional Fusion Middleware part, our Matij Srzentić and Mark Arbanas gave a lecture titled“Extremely normalized DW data models”. The lecture was well attended, and the topic was the subject of conversation at social events before and after the lecture.

Our Krešimir Futivić held a lecture titled “Empirical research on business intelligence in Croatia”, and it gave an overview of the results of BI research held in 2011. The lecture was attended by 30 participants of the conference, which is commendable given the fact it was the last lecture at the conference.
