Following the successful implementation of OFSAA (Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications) system for measuring the profitability of financial institutions in one of the leading banks in Croatia, Neos has, in its own arrangement, prepared and held a five-day OFSAA training program in Moscow. During the training, participants from different Oracle partner companies from Russia and Ukraine, after detailed presentations, have independently performed exercises on pre-prepared demo environment. Demo environment provides a complete insight into the basic concepts and functionalities of OFSAA modules related to infrastructure (OFSAA Infrastructure – OFSAAI), specific modules for the calculation of internal rates of money (Fund Transfer Pricing – FTP) as well as the allocation of revenue / cost (Profitability Management – PM). In this way, the profitability of individual organizational units, customer segments, channels, individual clients and other dimensions of interest are calculated and analyzed.
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) is a set of modules that allows financial institutions to measure and manage their pre-set objectives, taking into account different indicators weighted by a factor of risk. OFSAA provides a detailed insight into all segments of business and customer behavior. It is a relatively new set of tools (the first version of the current generation was released 2-3 years ago) in which the Neos professionals have been specialized and educated abroad, through a series of targeted workshops. Specialization for this set of tools is a logical choice since they are based on data from the data warehouse. It is about upgrading the standard analytical / reporting systems of financial institutions, in which Neos has been engaged for more than 10 years and has had a number of successful projects.
The first training was held in Moscow in the period from May 14 to May 18, 2012 in collaboration with Oracle Russia for 14 participants from different Oracle partner companies. According to surveys filled by participants themselves, it was rated excellent. The trainers were Mario Mrljić, director of development and co-owner of Neos and Goran Očko, a consultant for the implementation of the DW / BI systems. They have a several years of actual experience in implementation of OFSAA systems. In addition to basic functionalities, the participants have, through lectures and exercises, gained insight into the different options OFSAA tools offer. Best-practice solutions were presented to them as well as concepts that are based on actual experiences.
The training was prepared and delivered in the form of:
Training units:
Each thematic unit was covered in detail, with plenty of concrete examples as well as complex examples with presentations of concrete experiences from successfully completed projects. Overall training has received an excellent rating by participants.
All this proves that Neos has once again confirmed its status as a professional, trusted and valued partner in the implementation of OFSAA systems for monitoring the profitability of financial institutions.
We want to thank all the participants as well as Oracle. Thank you for positive comments, questions, and get-togethers. We hope that the next training will be at least this good, if not better.
