Neos at Oracle Cloud Day 2017 Conference

The Oracle Corporation, the world’s leading business software vendor, held its traditional annual Oracle Cloud Day conference today at the Zagreb Plaza Event Center. Neos was a platinum sponsor of the event, with the company’s CSO, Dražen Marković, giving a notable keynote presentation on Big Data Appliances in financial institutions.

The conference was held in cooperation with Intel, under the motto “Innovation for growth – Knowledge for control”. Its unique proposal is its hands-on approach, with real-world examples and case studies detailing comprehensive strategies in adoption of cloud-based business models and making use of opportunities digital transformation provides to companies in today’s globalized environment.

The conference gathered around 300 attendees, largely leading representatives from the local business and ICT communities, IT experts, as well as Croatian and foreign speakers. Marin Tadić, Oracle’s general manager for the Adriatic region, gave the conference’s introductory speech.

Janusz Naklicki, Oracle’s vice president for the Central and Eastern Europe and CIS countries, gave the key conference presentation. “It is often said that data is the new fuel in today’s world. In contrast to fossil fuels, such as oil, that are processed only once, data and information continually produces new fuel – i.e. even more data. Such data, in turn, can be used in optimization of the existing product or creation of something entirely new. This is what makes data unique and extremely valuable”, said Naklicki.
