HROUG has become traditional gathering of companies and people affiliated with Oracle technology and applications, and this 10th jubilee only proves it. This year NEOS was present, too, almost traditionally, with few lectures and a workshop.
It was even harder to decide on track and lecture to attend than in previous years. Number of lectures grows each year, so overlapping of very interesting topics are almost unavoidable. NEOS has increased number of lectures this year, too. In Development tools, application server, methodologies, and their usage track, Mr. Zvonimir Hrkac held a lecture “Usage of XML DB for data exchange implementation via XML”.
In Oracle collaborative solutions and corporate portals track, which moderates Mr. Davorin Capan, NEOS had two lectures – Mr. Mario Mrljic held lecture “News in integration of Oracle BI Tools with Oracle Portal”, and Mr. Capan held a lecture “Oracle Collaboration Suite 10g – news”.
Mr. Mario Mrljic also held a workshop linked with theme Portal, named “Comparision of Java and PL/SQL technology in context of Oracle Portlet component build”.
Lectures and workshop were very well visited, what shows great interest for such technologies with users, but also with IT companies.
Of course, we should not forget the non-formal side of the conference, which traditionally gave opportunity for meetings and socializing, and have a few drinks with friends and colleagues, which we don’t have opportunity to meet more often. There were also sporting activities and dance possibilities, so this conference, too, have continued the tradition of interesting lectures and pleasant socializing.
