Event ‘Neos Cloud Motion 2019’ was all about faster and easier transition to Cloud!

Another excellent event, Neos Cloud Motion, organized together by a Neos and Oracle team at HUB385 in Zagreb on 7th March talked about opportunities and benefits of migration to Cloud through concrete examples on how to apply Cloud business solutions to improve business.

‘Cloud-based business is safer, simpler and more reliable than on-premise solutions’ said Dražen M arković, CSO, adding that ‘Neos has developed methodology that enables clients to have a transparent, simpler and more secure transition to Cloud platform.’

Attendees were introduced with offerings focused on resolving individual business segments in IT – the establishment of a modern development environment (DevOps, Big Data, BI), enhanced levels of security (Backup, Business Continuity), and a platform for establishing a local and hybrid cloud infrastructure for clients who for regulatory or other reasons cannot or do not want to use public Cloud services.

Ms. Želimira Ivček, director of Oracle Retail Systems at mStart d.o.o., Oracle Retail Implementers for the region and Oracle Gold Partner, explained the benefits of implementing Oracle’s retail solutions in Cloud on the example of Konzum. She was joined by our head of Cloud Systems, Tomislav Kralj, who explained how cooperation between Neos and mStart started based on Neos’s offering ‘Move & Improve’.

Director of Neos’s Application Development Davor Stanić talked about architectural shift in enterprise application development. He talked about DevOps that allows the solutions that one wants to implement locally, that can in the future be migrated to the public cloud service without much change. Or one can set up flexible development environments in a public cloud, while using a production solution locally in a private cloud.

Furthermore, Ivan Delić of Oracle spoke about digital assistants on example of Oracle applications, that is about the use of artificial intelligence in real-time communication on the example of digital assistants.

In his lecture Big Data R&D and Cloud Intro and Demo, Dean Mišić spoke about practical cases of analytics of large amounts of Cloud data.

At the end of conference, Tomislav Kralj presented readiness of Oracle Infrastructure for application in private Cloud environment within a company. He held a technical presentation with topic ‘Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’.

As conclusion of the conference, Dražen Marković, CSO, held a short recap on large benefits of Cloud technologies and pointed out that these technologies are acceptable and safe for everyone adding that Cloud platform, including hybrid and private clouds is the future to support modern and agile businesses.
