In collaboration with Microsoft Consulting Services Neos has signed a contract for providing consulting services related to the implementation of Data Warehouse (DW) system for the largest Maltese bank – Bank of Valletta. Cooperation between Neos and Microsoft started after successful collaboration on projects related to the development/implementation of the reporting and analytical systems for financial institutions.
The new system aims to support all reporting/analytical requirements for regulatory reporting, Fund Transfer Pricing, Asset Liability, and Risk Management. In addition to this support the system must provide a high level of flexibility for future upgrades and changes initialized by frequent changes in regulations and business strategy of the bank. The ultimate goal is a high level of autonomy for business users in analysis and reporting without the direct IT support.
Consultants from Neos are responsible for the detailed analysis of business requirements and logical modeling of system components, test scenario definition, and supporting the implementation in all project phases. The system is based on standard components (data model, logical architecture) of DW system for financial institutions Neos has been developing over years while working on similar projects.
