NEOS have held a lecture named Insight – business information system for book trade industry”, under last set of workshops organized within Croatian Book Market Project.
Organized by Bibliodyssey Croatia, those two workshops took place on 22 November and on 24 November 2005 at the Goethe Institute in Zagreb. Themes were “New Technologies in the Book Trade” and “Joint Book Promotion and Marketing”. All Croatian book trade professionals were invited ? publishers, booksellers, librarians, policy makers, and the press – as well as interested public.
Our lecture was held within first workshop, which was oriented towards information technologies in book trade industry, by Mr. Drazen Markovic. Mr. Nenad Bartolcic held lecture “MV Info ? information service for professionals and end-users” within the same workshop. Workshop moderator was Mr. Mladen Markovic, from Distriks d.o.o. Book distribution center.
Second workshop, which has transferred some of organizational and marketing experience from Netherlands and world, was held by international lecturers, Mrs. Bonnie Dumanaw (CEEBP, Amsterdam) and Mr. Mikołaj Burchard (BMR, Warszawa). Mrs. Vera Ebels, CEEBP (Fund for Central and East European Book Projects) director, was also present on this workshop, and had answered questions together with lecturers.
Work has been continued in next days, on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of November, when lecturers were available to provide free private consultation for individual companies.
