ABOUT THE CLIENT

Zagrebačka banka d.d. is the largest bank in Croatia, owned by UniCredit group of Italy. It was the first Croatian bank to become fully privatised in 1989 and the first one to be listed at the Zagreb Stock Exchange in 1995. Zagrebačka banka has been the leading bank in Croatia for years in terms of the quality of products and services, technological innovations, the network of self-service devices and successful business results.

SOLUTION

We have been continuously working with Zagrebačka Banka on various projects since 2009. These include the delivery, installation, maintenance and other activities on several Oracle Engineered System – Oracle Exadata, Oracle BDA and Oracle Exalytics.

The following activities were executed as part of the latest Exadata project:

• Primary location – Oracle Exadata C7
  • delivery of the Oracle Exadata X7 system, installation and setup of the new system in the bank’s internal data center
  • installation of virtual machines
  • connection to the Oracle ZFS system
  • installation of Oracle database instances
  • upgrade of current databases
  • migration of all databases to the new Exadata platform
  • preparation of the current Exadata X4 system for the secondary location
  • setup of DG with instances on the DR location (secondary locaton)
  • upgrade of all databases on Exadata X7 to the latest version
  • installing patches to the Exadata system
• Secondary location (DR site) – Oracle Exadata X4 and X2
  • reimaging and reinstallation of the current Exadata X4 system
  • firmware and system software upgrade
  • preparation for the Data Guard functionality for the primary location
  • setting up virtual machines
  • installation of Oracle database instances
  • setting up DG with instances on the primary location
  • decommission of the current DR Oracle Exadata X2 system from the DR site and replacing it with the Exadata X4 system
  • upgrade of all databases on Exadata X4 to the latest version
  • installing patches to the Exadata system
• Continuous maintenance of the Exadata system
