ABOUT THE CLIENT

Dekod is a leading Croatian ticketing organisation with a rich twenty-year history and the most widespread and diverse user structure in the region.

Their www.ulaznice.hr portal launches its own system named Paganini for ticket sales for all kinds of events. In 2001, Paganini was declared the world’s best development project by one of the largest global IT companies – Oracle. Today, Paganini offers a ticket service for various types of events, from sports through music and theatre to conferences as well as tickets for museums, cablecars, city walls, etc.

Dekod’s mission in the ticketing field is to offer a complete service while providing the maximum:

  • in ticket availabililty to the customer through a wide variety of sales channels – locally, online, via mobile devices, through a network of retail outlets
  • in flexibility for the event promoter – a tailor-made solution for all kinds of events, venues, price policies…
  • in complete control and reporting insight into the sales process
  • in communication to the venues where the events take place – for the purpose of security and access control
  • in strong technical support – via Dekod’s internet center, securely connected to payment gateways

CHALLENGES & GOALS

The next step in Dekod’s evolution was cutting the cord and migrating to cloud. One of the benefits of their now cloud-based platform was the ability to provide customer chargebacks. In order to be able to do so, they needed a granular visibility into every ticket transaction, but could not achieve it with cloud-native features.

SOLUTION

Our implementation of CloudVane enabled greater visibility into customer’s cost. CloudVane combines cost and usage data with detailed customer transaction data to create a unique chargeback report. Now the customer can see every single transaction as a unit metric which enables detailed chargeback.

An additional benefit is using CloudVane advanced automation and scheduling features. Automation empowers customers to manage and automate their cloud resources to optimise their cloud spend or to satisfy their needs for scaled resources in peak load times.

Before the implementation of our solution customer was not able to see granularity of their cloud consumption. Since their solution is designed as a SaaS, all the resources are used by all their customers and without unit economics there is no way to ensure precise billing on resources consumed.

CloudVane is developed as a SaaS solution, built on Oracle cloud infrastructure. Dekod as a customer configured CloudVane to access their cloud resources.
