19th HrOUG conference

For the third time, St Andrew Island near Rovinj hosted annual 19th in a role Oracle User Group Conference (HrOUG). Conference consisted of three main streams: Leaders Circle for decision makers, Oracle Partner Day for Oracle partners and Oracle Customer Support Day. During three days, more than 450 participants had an opportunity to enjoy an excellent program that consisted of more than 100 events, seminars, lectures and workshops.

In the center of this year’s HrOUG conference’s, interest  were numerous topics and Neos, as Oracle Platinum Partner, also traditionally contributed to the conference in stream that presented experiences from implemented projects as well as issues regarding Strategy and IS management.

Our Ivica Sruk and Nataša Lacković from the National School of Public Administration talked about School’s need for a dedicated information system that will simplify and modernize the School’s core business functioning. The solution developed by Neos meets all School’s requirements for simple, rapid and effective service provision. It includes resource coordination, planning and implementation of educational programs as well as the organizing of civil servants who attend different courses.  Nataša Lacković and Ivica Sruk also demonstrated system’s development and implementation based on Oracle/Java and open source technologies.

Particularly interesting were news from the recent Oracle Open World Conference which were brought to conference attendees by renowned Oracle international speakers Tim Gorman, Mark Rittman, Kellyn Pot’Vin, and others.
