Oracle Day 2014 Conference

The eighth Oracle Day conference was held last week in the halls of the convention center HypoExpo. Oracle news and global trends in IT industry were presented to more than 500 visitors at interesting lectures and case studies.

The conference was opened by Marin Tadić, Oracle Croatia CEO, who in his opening statement mentioned the current technological trends like cloud, big data, business aspect of social networking, mobile and the need to modernize existing applications and systems. After him the keynote speakers followed: Olga Rumelioti, Senior Sales Director, South & Central Europe, Thomas Hofmann, Technology Presales Manager, Engineered Systems Competency Center, Oracle CEE and Alessandro Fragapane, Applications Sales Director, Oracle SCE region, who showcased Oracle’s view on these trends.

Certainly, one of the most important segments of the conference are the case studies in which long-term Oracle users, who have successfully transformed their business operations, share their experiences in using Oracle solutions and services.

As an Oracle Platinum Partner, Neos was the golden sponsor of the conference. Our director Davorin Capan held a very interesting lecture, “Developing modern solutions in the age of big data and social networks.” In the case study of Karlovačko Fan club he showed that “social and big data work best together – use social principles for market analysis/preparation, and big data as a tool.”
