Neos & Oracle team presented Oracle Cloud at Neos’ second event BI Journey to Cloud. Once again HUB385 was a perfect place to share knowledge and expertise of Neos and Oracle. As our first event finished where we talked about Cloud as enabler of business transformation and how migrating to Cloud can improve your business, we started with preparation and presentations for our next event themed possibilities and advantages of BI and DWH in Cloud environment.

Davorin Capan opened the event with a short presentation about Neos team and experience we have with Cloud migration. We have to emphasise that one of our keynote speakers was Jernej Kase, Analytics GTM Channel Director for EMEA region. He talked about Oracle Cloud as a corner stone of your journey to the data-driven business. His session was about how Cloud is changing the way business is run and people work and that it is happening at incredible speed and it is here today. Numbers that he showed were incredible. He said: “Today, we are trying to innovate while at the same time we are reducing costs. Statistics is like this, 80% of our spending is for maintenance and only 20% is for innovation and competitiveness. Cloud has the potential to help us change that equation, to change the economics of innovation. We can shift those dollars and people hours turn to innovation.” This is part of his presentation where you can see what is possible if you choose this Cloud journey.

After his interesting keynote, two of our colleagues, Albert Ćosić and Ana Marija Galić had presentations and a short demo about Neos case study: Predictive modelling for natural gas consumption & Data visualization for natural gas consumption. Morana Kobal, Ljiljana Perica and Duško Vukmanović of Oracle Hrvatska in three different presentations with demos taught us about Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse in Cloud, how we can have Intelligent Automation with Oracle Analytics Cloud and finally, Duško introduced us to Apache Kafka in the Cloud.

For the end there was our CSO, Dražen Marković who nicely finished this one-day event with presenting Neos Cloud Solutions and what we can do for you and how we can introduce you to Cloud.
